Adam Tomasek, Executive Director

Adam Tomasek is the inaugural Executive Director of the Debt for Nature Coalition. He brings more than 20 years of international leadership experience spanning government, business, and multilateral organizations. At the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), he served in senior roles for 12 years, building strategic partnerships with industry, philanthropies, and development finance institutions. He designed the Enterprises for Development, Growth and Empowerment (EDGE) Fund, leveraging over $1 billion in commitments, and represented USAID on the National Security Council’s Interagency Policy Committee on Partnerships and Global Engagement.

Prior to government service, Adam spent a decade with World Wildlife Fund, working across more than 40 countries with Fortune 500 companies, global institutions and local communities to advance environmental conservation, sustainable finance, and innovative partnerships. He has also served as an adjunct professor at American University and as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer and Technical Trainer.

Adam holds a BSc from the University of Michigan and an MSc from Cal Poly. He has completed executive programs at MIT Sloan, IMD (Switzerland), Harvard Business School, and the Yale School of Management.
